About the Author
Margaret Richek, a specialist in vocabulary development, received her Ph.D. in education in 1974 from the University of Chicago. For many years, she served on the faculty of Northeastern Illinois University, teaching developmental reading courses to college students. She has published articles and presented across the United States on strategies for vocabulary learning, and is the author of VOCABULARY FORACHIEVEMENT, a series of textbooks for grades 3 through 12. Currently, she is Professor Emerita of Northeastern Illinois University and serves as a consultant for Roosevelt University in Chicago and the Bureau of Education and Research.

GREAT BOOK!

This book is great. I like how they give exercises for each section and for the new vocabulary.My reading class in college required this book and it has been a great tool not only for that class but for others aswell.
