Double Dribble

Ok, first and foremost. Chris is NO Ryan Hunter. Let's get real. I read the reviews, and I'm sorry, but I must disagree. Ryan is in a league of his own. I did like Chris. He was very charming. And I absolutely loved his overall demeanor. I like that he never gave up. He's no quitter. I loved the first half of the book. But towards the end, I was getting tired reading about Susan's insecurities.
It started to become too repetitive. And the ending, WOW!. . I honestly don't know if it's sending the right message. I mean, it happens every day. But, I don't think the author should of went that route (especially at their age). I liked this book a lot. But, I felt it kind of dragged.

Good Book but not a fan of the ending (my opinion and I shortly explain why)

Honestly, this book has a great beginning. I was hooked. I would give it 3 and a half stars but i cant. I admit that Chris, one of the male lead characters, was described as a bad boy (very predictable personality). I did not care much for him but he grew on me. I would say something about what made me like this one character, which was an emotionally short scene and if you read this, you might know what i am referring to.
So here is the plot, Sue meets Ethan during the soccer practice. Ethan is replacing Sue, until Sue recovers from her injury. Sue was mad at this but learned to like Ethan as they talked more that day. They had a lot in common, especially a band, and Sue mentions that she has these dvds of them and stuff. The next day, she looks for Ethan to give him the band's dvd, but unknowing, meets Chris, who is Ethan's twin and he humiliates her. From this misunderstanding, things happen and Sue learns the truth, but now there is a situation where Sue likes Ethan a lot but Chris seems to try to make a move and flirt with Sue every chance he gets.
As mentioned, the most of the book was great. Loved it, but I have a big problem where guys tend to start calling girls "babe" and saying "my girl." This is what happened. It felt like you gave a guy these sweet characteristics that I liked and then made him into guy who was still sweet, but protective when in defense. In addition, I was not a fan of the epilogue at the end. The book went from a sweet book to something that I was feeling ugh with the ending. I could have done without the epilogue and I would not have lowered the score because it is a good book. This is just me. It does not mean it was a horrible book.

Another great book by Anna Katmore!

It's finally Susans turn at finding love! After getting injured playing soccer, Susan has to take a brake from the team. Taking her place in the mean time, Ethan enters into her life and sparks start to fly. But when he seems to have split personalities, her introduction to dating is nothing like she envisioned.
I loved the book and the interaction between the main characters and getting to know Susan a little better. The characters were well developed and felt very real. Ethan, the sweet guy with a secret. Chris, the player with a sneaky streak. And Susan, the bookworm being introduced to dating for the first time.
It is part of Annas bookseries, Grover Beach Team, and though I would advise you to read the previous books before this one, it is not a must.
The book is a good mix of funny, sweet and serious and I was hooked from the beginning.
I'd recommend this to readers that wants to read a sweet, mostly innocent and fun book!
